**UPDATED 2025** Our client wanted a “Secret Garden” style landscape along with an area of native turf grass. This was a such a fun design to work on! We installed a berm with shrubs to separate the garden from the ADU and the rest of the yard, and to give a feeling of privacy. Within the garden we incorporated a stone bench, a pathway, a rain garden, and dozens of different native plant species. The native lawn is a mix of buffalograss and blue grama, which we installed partially from plugs and partially from seed.
